On September 11th & 12th, 2010, in collaboration with the AVH Veterinary Group, www.avhvet.vetsuite.com in Pen Argyl, PA, I am doing a fundraiser for the Center for Animal Health & Welfare. Pet owners can bring their dogs, cats, lizards, birds, etc. to AVH and have them professionally photographed for any one of three donation levels. ALL proceeds will go directly to the animals at the Center. Please visit my blog or call me at 484-225-3143 for more information. To make an appointment, call AVH at 610-863-7111.
The Center for Animal Health and Welfare is a no-kill shelter in Easton, PA. I am one of their volunteers and although I do not get down there nearly as much as I would like, I do hope that when I am there, I give the homeless dogs a few extra moments of joy as they get one additional walk/run outside of their crates. I have also begun to help more by photographing both the new animals and those that have been there for a while, with the hopes that showing both their inner and outer beauty will get more potential "parents" to visit the Center and adopt these pets in need of good forever homes. Please click on the ADOPTABLE PETS gallery button to see some of our local animals just waiting for a new home. Also: I will gladly volunteer my time to photograph the animals in any of our local shelters or rescue groups. If you belong to a rescue or are a foster pet parent and are in the need of pet photography, feel free to contact me at 484-225-3143.
I have also recently become a proud member of HeARTs Speak, www.heartsspeak.org, an organization of "artists working together to promote a deeper understanding for the voiceless." Visit their site to learn more. The site also lists other photographers willing to volunteer their time on behalf of needy animals.
